Interview With Eimear McBride Part 1A discussion on the characteristics of the book and movie Paper Towns by Eimear McBride and Jamie N parts. Author talks about her experiences at a boarding school in Ireland and how her book centers around a girl who has been raped by her old boarding school teacher, Henry's father. She also talks about the little girls in the story, the benefits of a medium, strange clothing, and what future books might be out there for her books.Part One of this interview will discuss some topics she doesn't want to cover with her book. Asking her about how the boys were treated at her school and why people are angry at her about her book and the movie Paper Towns. She talks about being singled out as a rapist and the bullying she dealt with from other kids.Part Two is an email interview with her about what a father was like and how children were treated at her school and how she learned that her father was abusing drugs. In her adult life she discusses the diffe rence between being a victim and a survivor. In her opinion the positive aspects of being a survivor. Tips for choosing high street toys and reading the Library books at home.Part Three is a discussion about what happened at her last meeting with a man who claimed to be a therapist. Some information she doesn't want to give out as it relates to the book and movie Paper Towns. What she learns from him regarding her abusive childhood and the things she learns at her meeting with the alleged therapist.Part Four is a quote from a writer that mentions how a man had called the police because she talked to him about 'his' daughter and how a therapist who is not a mental health professional. The therapist was not supposed to help her but she thinks he wanted to be a detective because the author's daughter committed suicide. She feels the writer's daughter would have been better off with therapy. For the writers details about the poem, where the writer went to school, and if there is any more information she can give.Part Five is a news story that discusses the author and her book. The news story is focused on the book and her book tour. For the article she talks about being very careful about where the phone number comes from for the person that wrote the number down at the water sink.Part Six is about a threat that a group of woman from the area made against the author and her family. To top the letter off they even promised to come to her door unannounced to put a bullet in her husband. They said the writer was cruel and they would take it up with the author's husband.Part Seven is about the status of the Book Tour and whether or not it is going to go on. She hopes it goes on but if it does there is a reason she isn't telling anyone about it. She says people are following her when she takes a plane and she wishes they would just take her to a hotel where no one else can follow her.
